Medication Disposal

Did you know that approximately 250 million pounds of pharmaceutical waste are disposed of annually on a nation-wide basis? As a result, regulatory agencies have begun to recognize that there may be long-term effects on our water supplies. Click here to read more.

Windemere LPN Training Program
Funded by Grant

For Islanders already working hard just to make ends meet, the prospect of advancing a career through professional training seems an impossible dream - there just isn't time in the week for both school and work, and mainland educational institutions are dauntingly far away. But thanks to a $105,000 grant from the state and support from MV Hospital and Windemere Nursing & Rehabilitation Center valued at nearly $250,000, ten Windemere employees are realizing that dream this year.
