The Martha's Vineyard Hospital
Auxilliary's 25th Annual Tree of Lights

This year the MV Hospital Auxiliary's Tree of Lights fundraiser celebrates the 25th anniversary of a revered Island holiday tradition. Every December a 30-foot fir tree in front of the Hospital has been lit with hundreds of red and white lights, each donated by an individual in honor or in memory of a loved one.

Determined to continue the tradition, the Auxiliary has prepared a temporary Tree of Lights that will be lit during this and every holiday season until construction is done.

Windemere LPN Training Program
Funded by Grant

For Islanders already working hard just to make ends meet, the prospect of advancing a career through professional training seems an impossible dream - there just isn't time in the week for both school and work, and mainland educational institutions are dauntingly far away. But thanks to a $105,000 grant from the state and support from MV Hospital and Windemere Nursing & Rehabilitation Center valued at nearly $250,000, ten Windemere employees are realizing that dream this year.
